Evening star and crescent moon
glow especially strong tonight
catching my eye as I head up the mountain...
homebound...towards them...
all around...the wide open darkening sky
is bare except for the presence of these
constant companions...faithful lovers
hanging low in the dusk sky side by side
their heavenly bodies so close in the vastness
it seems they are turned to each other...
I see the rays flow visibly between them
