Pathways ~ Digging In

This picture...of my eldest son digging a narrow pathway in to the house...was taken a couple of winters ago when the snow piled so high so fast for so long that many in the high country...including me...were "snowed out" of our houses for up to a week. When return was finally possible 7 feet of snow had fallen in some parts...and the shoveling was intense......good thing my...big...son volunteered to blaze the way.....
Today...Spring...has sprung out like a snow cat prowling for prey...making it obvious...to me...that the seasons come and go...or intertwine...as they want.....irregardless of human timetables...or desires..... luckily...this day...I could stay home...to enjoy spring descending...watch the white gather on the branches and the earth...walk to the silence of the twirling flakes... and 'capture' some of the calm and the beauty accumulating..........
