Time Slips

Once again...time has slipped through...as one day turns unstoppably to another. Has it really been 10 days since my last post...I am left to wonder...
In the mean time...Autumn is up on us...as it is in other parts of the hemisphere...green leaves turn to yellow...or red...or straight to brown...and night falls earlier these days...and I know...soon the warmth...and light...of summer will be a wisp of memories...
Tonight...on the way home...the highway was streaked with a wet blackness...the result of rain's fall...but my mind did a double take...as it saw not water...but ice...black ice...creeping up without warning...and sighed relief as it realized that this could not be...not yet...not so soon...when the fall... has barely begun.........
