Dance of the Insects

As night falls
I can see
the dance of the insects
commencing outside my window...
their wings catch
the last rays of a nodding sun
and glisten like so many stars
unfurling and twirling
through the cool mountain air........

They come though...flowingly and easily when they are needed...or wanted... the naturalness of their appearance...is not taken for granted...but is cherished as a gift...given as a prize...for perseverance and receptiveness...like the ease with which a friend moves freely in and out of this life.......
