These are some more photos from the "elk shoot" a couple of weeks ago. This one was actually my first shot of the elk herd...taken with a new Canon digital. After their initial "spooking" when I stopped my car...they settled down and let me get some good shots.

It's snowing at my house in the mountains. Again. When I tell people "in the flats" that there's still 2 feet of snow in areas here...they give me that puzzled questioning look of non-believers.

Snow or not...one sure sign that warmer times are approaching in these mountains are the elk...spotted for the first time this year (by me anyway) at one of their yearly spring/summer haunts on Magnolia. Ahhh. What a welcome sight!
